HALO®

With Halo® You Choose the Treatment Intensity in Appleton, WI

HALO® AT EXCELIN MEDICAL SPA

Dr. Victoria Moss carefully researches all treatments before adding them to her menu of services to ensure they are effective, safe, and top of the line.

By combining two types of lasers into a single device, Halo® allows for unparalleled customization in light-based skin treatments.

The Excelin team is thoroughly trained to use this sophisticated device, and has the experience necessary to deliver ideal results for each person.

The Excelin Medical Spa team is experienced in a range of technologies, including advanced resurfacing laser treatments. Typically, these fall into one of two categories: ablative and non-ablative. Ablative treatments take off the outermost layers of skin and require down time for healing after a session, while non-ablative treatments heat up deeper layers, but leave the surface intact, resulting in less down time, but a subtler result. Each laser has its own distinct advantages, but both are now available together in a single device: Halo®. Appleton, WI, area residents who want results typical of an ablative treatment, but with healing time more in line with a nonablative treatment, can choose Halo®.

Halo® is highly customizable and adjustable, so our aestheticians are able to accommodate a range of conditions, depending on individual skin wants and needs. Someone who wants to return to their normal schedule the day after a session can enjoy a light treatment, while someone who wants more dramatic results that provide a “Halo® glow” can receive a more intense treatment that requires a few days of down time after as the skin heals and rejuvenates.

How Does Halo® Work?

The only hybrid laser of its kind, Halo® impacts the skin in two ways. First, the laser energy impacts the dead, outer layers of skin, prompting them to flake off in a matter of days. As this skin leaves, it takes with it the pigmentation, fine lines, and other blemishes and lesions found on the surface, making way for newer, fresher skin. This is known as epidermal renewal.

Second, the laser energy penetrates into deeper layers, which heats the collagen for an ultimately smoother, more youthful look. This energy also triggers new collagen production and natural healing processes that continue to improve the look of the face for weeks to months after a session. This is known as deep dermal revitalization.

The results combine the advantages of both lasers, with significant cosmetic results but minimal down time.

What Can Halo® Treat?

The laser energy from a Halo® treatment can be adjusted to treat a general, overall look of dullness, or to more intensely focus on specific signs of sun damage and aging, including sun spots and other areas of hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, fine lines, and other texture problems. It can also reduce the appearance of both large pores and scars.

Because of its versatility, Halo® is frequently used not just on the face, but also the neck and chest. Patients can discuss its use elsewhere on the body at their consultation.

What Are the Other Laser and Light Treatments Available?

As Halo® demonstrates, laser treatments can be a powerful tool for cosmetic improvements—particularly when administered by experienced hands, as with the team at Excelin Medical Spa, which also offers BBL (BroadBand Light) for hair removal, preventive care and facial rejuvenation, and acne treatment. Another device, miraDry®, reduces underarm sweating and odor.

The range of treatments available at Excelin Medical Spa can address a wide variety of cosmetic issues, whether used separately or in combination.
